MiiMi Supports National Close the Gap Day

On Thursday 22 March 2012 at 10.00am to 11.30am MiiMi Aboriginal Corporation will be holding a morning tea at MiiMi house.
The morning tea will be a public event to help raise awareness of the Indigenous health crisis.
Bringing people together for this event will encourage them to learn more, discuss the issues and take action to achieve Indigenous health equality.
Community Health and service providers will be attending the event to offer information and answer any questions.
This will be an informal event and MiiMi would like to invite anyone that may be interested in Closing the Gap to join us for morning tea at 90 High Street Bowraville.

Nambucca Valley Family Day Care Xmas Party

Nambucca Valley Family Day Care will be holding a Xmas Party

White Ribbon Day

White Ribbon Day is a day of action where men say no to violence against women. Nambucca Valley Domestic Violence Group will have information stall outside Nambucca Heads News Agency on Thursday morning 24th November 2011.
At 12.30 a group of men will walk around to the Youth Centre and sign a pledge. If there are any men interested in signing the pledge they are most welcome to join in.

Grandparent Day

MiiMi House and Bowraville Pre School will be working together to hold a Special Morning Tea for Granparents Day.

Grandparents Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of November each year and is a chance for grandchildren, children and the community to thank grandparents for their love and support.

Bowraville Junior Rugby League

MiiMi would like to thank the Bowraville Junior Rugby League for the opportunity to participate in their presentation day held at the Bowraville Race Course on Sunday the 25th September 2011. It was a wonderful day, we hope there weren't to many upset belly's with all the fairy floss and slushy's.

We hope you all enjoyed our activity table, face painting and the show bags.

Big congratulations to Brady Atkins and Owen Harris on winning a $25 gift vouchers at Nambucca Sports Store donated by MiiMi for the colouring competition.

Congratulations to all the boys on a fantastic year, especially to the Under 15's for their Grand Final win.

MiiMi looks forward to continuing our partnership in 2012.

Youthfest Funding

MiiMi has been given the opportunity to distribute funding on behalf of the NSW Commission for Children and Young People. Seven local Youth Services along the Mid North Coast have been successful in their applications and will hold a Youthfest event in their local area targeting young people between the ages of 9 - 18 years.
